It was our second day to explore Odaiba while we were in Tokyo, and I pre-booked our TeamLab Borderless – Mori Building tickets from Klook App for 107 aed per head. I have seen from other vlogs that Mori branch is better than the TeamLab Planet because they have more rooms and artworks. TeamLab is a museum for three-dimensional artworks without boundaries. It does not have any map or pointing signs around the area because they would like you to be encouraged to wander in any way you like.
As we entered the museum, we got into the Flower Forest. This is one of the largest rooms where the walls and floors are covered with flowers. It will be scattered if you touch them and if you stand on an empty spot, the flowers will sprout. There are also butterflies flying around and they will die if you try to touch them.

While we were going to the next room, the hallway was full with artworks too. They called it as the Dancing People and Animals. These moving images make an appearance on the walls that connects the different rooms. It was entertaining to the point that you will not be bored while searching for another room.
Next one is called The Nest, we fall in line for 20 minutes to witness this show. You have to walk in the suspended net until you reach the center where you need to sit or lie down to enjoy the show. There will be a movement of thousands of fish and birds like a single giant life form that I think it will be more entertaining for the kids than adults.
Then, we reached the Crystal World, which was my favorite because it is an infinity room that is full of LEDs and mirrors. It is tempting to stay here for a longer time to take a perfect shot. But the problem is the staff will tell you to keep walking and don’t stay close to the LEDs which is annoying. What I mean is, as long as you don’t disturb the other visitors and you don’t damage the LEDs while taking photos, you should have an enough opportunity to explore the area.

There is another room that was interesting and it is called as The Universe of Water Particles on a Rock. This one has an elevated platform and you will get a nice shot if you will go at the center. The floor is uneven so you have to be careful while walking towards the highest part of the platform. The background was amazing because the water that was flowing on the floor looks like waterfalls.

My aunt would like to try the matcha (a drink made from powdered green tea with milk) at En Tea House. I love this part of the museum because for a price of 500 yen, you will be able to choose a type of green tea that you would like to drink, then it will be served on your table inside the very dark tea house. You need to keep your cup in place for a few seconds and you will see that flowers will start to bloom inside the cup. As you drink your tea, the flowers and leaves will be scattered on the table.

After our tea break, we entered the Weightless Forest of Resonating Life, it looks like a group of bouncy balloons that change its colors and will light up according to touch. The balloons were soft and huggable. The floor is also bouncy because it was made from springy foam.

The next one was the Sketch Aquarium. Since it was a Christmas season, the sketchpads were designed in a Christmas-themed images that you can color or draw it in any way that you want. It is more advisable for kids but we did it as an adults. We made it like a greeting card and I asked the staff to scan it after. The image of my artwork which is a truck was transferred on the wall and it was entertaining as it moves with the other greeting cards.

The last room that we visited was the Forest of Resonating Lamps, this one is extremely popular in Instagram similar with the Crystal World. There are twenty visitors allowed inside this huge bulb room for about ten minutes at a time. The light bulbs change color if you come near them.

There are still other rooms that we did not visit because we run out of time and we need to have our late lunch. Hence, we enjoyed our first time in TeamLab even though they have some policies that I found so pointless. Like, my small tripod was asked to be kept in a locker while I saw a lot of visitors who were using their tripods inside. Overall, it was enjoyable to explore the museum and I will still recommend it to be included in your itinerary in Tokyo.
